This afternoon Quartz class children got to practise their observational sketching skills. We got the parents to join in too! Thank you for coming in to catch up on all that we have been learning this term.

Quartz class are preparing to face the Dragons’ Den judges to sell them some amazing designs. Today they had a go at using the 8 persuasive devices to persuade their peers on various topics.

Circuit challenge

In science today, the children attempted to make the biggest working circuit they could using 3 wires, a ruler, a bulb, 2 batteries, some pencils, foil, string and 5 paper clips. Here’s how they got on. Can you make a bigger working circuit, than those made by Quartz class children, using the same resources?

To conclude Story Week, we saved the best for last. We made then gobbled up some delicious cupcakes then performed The True Story of The Three Little Pigs. The children even got to ask the parents some philosophical questions. Take a look.

World Book Day

Quartz class children all came to school dressed up as their favourite characters and they looked awesome! They also had a poetry assembly and workshop where they got to write their own poems in the style of Grace Nicholls. Then each team presented their poem to the class. Now that’s what I call poetry!
